We aim to make our candles available for collection, or shipping within 24 hours of your purchase. However, sometimes, like long weekends or public holidays this may be up to 36 hours.

We only use 100% Australian sourced soy wax in all of our candles. 

The short answer is yes. Vanilla, or more specifically vanillin (the organic compound extracted from Vanilla Bean) is used as a base to create a wide variety of scents - that don’t even have vanilla in the name. 

One of the common problems we face as candle makers is the discolouration of our wax when our finished candles are exposed to sunlight that includes the light from a flame. - this is thanks to that wonderful compound vanillin. When exposed to sunlight/ flame and oxygen, it transforms to a beige or brownish hue. 

To help combat the inevitable, we do recommend you make sure your candle is covered when not in use, and kept out of direct sunlight.

So in finishing, if your candles sets after your first burn with a light brown discolouration, don’t be concerned. Your candle is doing what it does best....smelling amazing

A well-made candle will create virtually no smoke when burning properly. However, if the wick becomes too long, or an air current disturbs the flame, small amounts of unburned carbon particles (soot) will escape from the flame as a visible wisp of smoke. Any candle will soot if the flame is disturbed.

To avoid this, always trim the wick to 4mm before every use and be sure to place candles away from drafts, vents or air currents. If a candle continually flickers or smokes, it is not burning properly and should be extinguished. Allow the candle to cool, trim the wick, make sure the area is draft free, then re-light.  

When not in use, candles should be stored in a cool, dry place, free from dust and protected from direct sunlight. Due to the all-natural products used in our candle range, we recommend you avoid placing your candles next to windows or in direct sunlight as it may cause colour fading.
